ok my car has this tick coming from around the IM when it is at idle my car is completly stock anyone having the same problem or any ideas??

 

depending on how loud it is it's probably just the valves ticking. It's normal. Unless it's really loud, then you probably need a valve adjustment.

 

ya honda engines are known to be loud. its your valves.

 

injectors are ticking...its not a problem

if you've got a 96 Integra getting the valve lash adjusted wouldn't be a bad idea (10 yrs old). If you want to learn about the head of your engine, buy a manual, a valve lash tool (or borrow one from parts store) and do it yourself (DIY). Its not very hard, there's plenty of documentation online, and you'll learn a lot in the process about how the top of your engine works.

 

My motor was ticking, thought it was LMAs, ended up being a broken inner valvespring.

Ticking is used to describe so many different noises in the motor...

 

yea mine only ticks loud during warmup after that its not bad, and like everyone says also, injectors
