No heat in the cabin...
Hi guys. My blowers are just blowing cold air!
My engines running at normal temp and the raditor hoses are getting hot.
I've felt the hoses that lead into the bulkhead and both of them are warm too.
Any ideas why it ain't blowing warm air?
Oh its a 92 4gen JDM lude.
Thanks
Mark

Sounds like the valve is not openeing to let the hot coolant pass though the heater core.

Once the hot water passes into the bulkhead I'm guessing it can only go into the heater core (heater matrix?) Or can it bypass this?
Both pipes that lead to/from the bulkhead are hot so this suggests water is flowing in and out okay...

check the valve, try opening and closing the valve manually then see if you get heat. I was working on a civic the other day and it had the same problem which ended up being the valve.

On the civics and tegs its on the heater core hose near the firewall. I would to assume it's in the same spot on the preludes.

Any chance of description of the valve please mate?
How do I check it manually?
As you may be able to tell I've not got much experince with the cooling system!

I can't find a diagram or pic, but it should be an in-line valve with a cable that runs from the valve to the temp control unit on your dash.
