H&R Race springs with Koni Yellows
I read this on a previous thread-
For an Integra they are 460f/350r (lbs/in), Is this good for my setup with Konis? This is my spring rate for my H&R race springs
My question is this- How can I make the most of my setup? I have H&R race springs but I don't know the spring rate for my Integra and what setting for the Konis is good to compliment the spring rate that I have. Is the above correct, and if it is should I set my Konis stiff or soft for good handling characteristics? Setting the Strut to a softer setting for street driving doesn't make much sense to me because the springs have a higher spring rate. Is there a method to determine a good setting when you know the spring rate?
I know this is kinda long but thanks in advance!

The H&R Race will be fine with the Koni Sports, just make sure you have the appropriate amount of bump rubber present per H&Rs recommendations to reduce the chance of bottom.
An initial setting of maybe 1/2 to 1 turn from full soft would be a good baseline setting on the Konis for these and most serios street perforamcen springs. As you increase the spring rate, you do need to increase the rebound damping to control it but the adjustment range on the Koni is very wide (max setting is twice as firm as min setting) so I very, greatly doubt that you would need to turn them up to the max setting and it would likely result in a pretty harsh ride and an overdamped situation.

The ride quality is pretty harsh on full setting, which is what I have it on now. I will try your recommendation and see how it affects the handling characteristcis. The car is really fun to drive the way it is even though it is higher than what I like. I feel like it has 2 times the stability then the lowest setting I had it on. Initially I set the springs on the Konis lowest ride height setting and it bounced around like a **** because I think the shcok was bottoming out. Seems to me that the highest ride height setting works the best even though it is crazy stiff. I'll let you know how the ride turns out! Thanks!
If you were on the lowering springs and the lowest perch groove, you were probably living on the bump stops and the functional spring rates with the mix of spring and bump rubber would have been extremely high. Once you raised the car back up to stock perch location (top groove of 2 in front, middle groove of 3 on rear), then you were sampling the sprigns as they should be and then the valving wherever you set them. With teh valving on max, the car probably felt like a juddery go-kart but it wasn't really doing you any good in ride or handling. Take it back down to half to one turn from soft and the car will be much more livable and better handling too.
Thanks for all your help, the rear is still set at the lowest setting cause I didn't have time to raise it last weekend but I will fix that after the swap this weekend. Thanks again for the good info.
