Default Inner tie-rod end replacement

For those who have replaced the inner-tie rod ends with aftermarket (oem replacement) units, what did you do about the crimped on retaining tabs that were on the stock ones but not the aftermarket?

I didnt even realize they were there until i took off the old ones, breaking the tabs in the process.

Im planning on using the strongest loc-tite i can find, but i just wanted to see what other people had done.

I'm interested also. Should I be able to reuse the ones I have or should I buy some in before I start this job?

For the record, im talking about no. 14 in the picture. slhondaparts sells the tie-rod lock washer seperately, so i hope my local dealer can too.

my question remains, do you need a special tool to crimp this lock washer onto the new tie-rod end?

The "special tool" is a punch.
