***What is the highest comp. ratio for daily driver***
what im exactly trying to say it that.. this summer coming up im planning to put some cams and pistons in my girl..
well i just wanted to know what is the highest comp. ratio that my gsr with 60k miles can handle as a daily driver.?? i was thinking b16 pistons with ctr cams with supertech spings and retainers??? i was thinking itr's but they are a little less comp... thanks let me know.... if some of yall have this set up already or close.. and will my future setup work ok..

just get some good tuning and you'll be fine.
There was a guy in a magazine running 13:1 compression ratio on his GSR with some toda cams, and that was his daily driver.
You just gotta make sure you don't undercam or overcam the motor.

You really can't believe everything you read in magazines. It may be his daily driver, but a lot of cars that are portraited as "daily driven" in magazines are far from it.

You can go up to 13:1, but in order to stay out of detonation, you have to retard the timing, and that causes a loss of power. YOu'd be better off bumping it up to 11.5:1 compression. That compression would work well with CTR cams, or skunk2 stage 1's. Just make sure its tuned whatever you do.
I know its not a b series. But I know people that are running h22s with 12:1 and 12.5:1 compression completely fine on daily drivers. Just as long as you have a very very good tune you should be good.
I've seen 12.5:1 on a DD, but as others have said you need good tunning and make sure you run the right octane.
