92 gsr abs to 90 rs non-abs HELP!
i have a 92 gsr with abs... i recently got all the lines prop valve, and master cyl. off of a parts car 90-91 rs..
can i use my 92-93 abs gsr brake booster with the 90-91 non-abs master cyl???
i dont have a motor in the car right now so i cant get any vacum source to it just yet to the booster... but when i press the pedal in, pressure is not building... like the pedal doest not get hard?
im gonna bleed them tom and seem if it helps or should i wait until i get the motor in and vacum to the booster to bleed??
but my main question is if the gsr's abs booster will work with the non-abs master cyl?

The brake booster will work, but i would just rather get that from a car that came with ABS.
Same goes with the master cylinder and reservoir cup.
Also, dont use the RS prop valve that one is 40/40 all the other ones are diff.
If thats you're only choice then go with it.
You're ABS light might come on, but you'll still have normal braking.
But who needs ABS anywayz

thanks man im converting my abs gsr to non-abs... so i already have an abs booster with a non-abs master cyl.
i think i need the 40/40 prop valve??? there is like no other way i can do it with out it..
i just took all the front lines off the rs and the prop valve and master cyl, and bolted it up tp the gsr booster which is for abs.... is this going to make a diff??

so i can use the stock gsr booster then, with the non-abs rs master cyl.??

i just recently removed my ABS of my 92 gs-r as well and all i needed was a non abs proportioning valve that i got from a 92 gs...everything else was untouched other than extending some brake lines. you will be fine with the gs-r brake booster.

yes i know i have the 40/40 prop-valve and rs master cyl.. i used the rs master cyl bc when i tried to keep the gsr abs master cyl... the threads on the fitting closest to the booster were larger on the gsr master cyl then the rs... since i was using all rs lines i had to use the rs master cyl as well for the fittings to bolt up correctly to the master cyl..
i only had this probelm with gsr master cyl, bc both ports were not the same size.. the one closest to the booster was too big for the rs brake line fitting... thats why i used the rs master cyl.
thats why i was really unsure if i could use the 92 gsr abs booster with a pre 92 rs master cyl... i didnt know if they were diff.
ahh confusing i know, but that was my problem.
