gsr shifting problem
does anyone know whats going on with my clutch?during a full throttle run, i cannot shift my car from 3rd to 4th(taking it up to redline). it prevents me from going into gear no matter how much force i put into the shift. i can however shift at around 6500. is this normal?should i stay away from 8100 shifts anyway?it seems my car pulls hardest from 5500 on....any suggestions?
not to be a *****, but you need to learn how to drive bro. full throttle shifts are not too hard to do, but at the same you really don't get much benefit from it, especially when driving around town.
And of course your car pulls hardest from 5.5k on up, you have a GSR and that is when vtec engages.
You should really learn a little about your car before you go and drive it like that. just my .02

wow not the kinda response i was looking for. i know how to drive my car, it just started doing this recently at the track this past sat.. the car locks me out of 4th gear the same way it locks you out of lower gears when you are at higher speeds. ie shifting into 1st at 35, get what im saying now?
my thoughts exactly, but i wasnt trying to tell the dude how drive his own car. if he wants to mess it up then he can do it on his own.
but GSRdude is right, you shouldnt drive your car like that at all unless youre going down a track

actually it doesnt "lock" you out of anything... you need to rev match if you want it to go in easier. in other words man, study some **** and learn how to drive it correctly. just practice and you will get better.

i didnt say vtec engages at 5.5k, i said my car seems to pull hardest after that. it engages at 4.4k. anyway i am so sick of people on ht acting like driving hard on the streets is something terrible, like they have never done it. my god.
can anyone help me?it didn't do this before and having to rev match in the 1/4 takes to much time. anyone have any ideas for a fix?

well how many miles are on the motor/tranny? If there is alot of miles then the syncros may be something to look at.
btw... sorry for the confusion last night... i did word that wrong. it is just that in my gsr 5500 on up was wehn it pulled most too. that is just where the power is at. it is not like a v8 where you have massive bottom end power, vtec motors are made to be up in the rpms before they have the power youneed.

it could be a faulty clutch, my car did that same thing and the clutch diaphram was worn out. it would not let it fully disengage. it made shifting at high rpms impossible.
does your car creep when you're in first with the clutch pushed in? have any other clutch issues?

its the spring that the throw out bearing pushes on to disengage the clutch. the thing that has like 20 or so fingers. i dont think its real common for that to happen on fairly new clutchs. unless you buy a junky clutch like i did.
