Default how much did u pay for an 06 civic?

went to the dealership today for some MTF fluid and talked to a sales person about a 06 civic sedan and coupe LX. after tax/lic/everything all together was 19.5k for the coupe, and about 19.8 for the sedan (both lx's). i thought it was going to be around 17k or so since its a LX and a "civic"= basic cars. but 20k for a compact car is a bit too much. I'm really thinking about buying the sedan in about 1/2 yr but didnt expect it to be that much. I can get a matrix, corolla, a used bmw, wrx, etc etc.

so how much did u guys paid for your civic and what trim was it.

the 06 civic is very hot right now, so everyone is over pricing it. wait a while and it will drop to invoice price.

I paid just about $18k out the door for a 2006 Coupe LX with all taxes, fees, DMV crap, etc.

The car itself with destination was $16,500, so I got it for $300 under sticker. Not too bad considering I got it back in October.

just dot back from 3 honda dealerships, all they have is that ugly red or silver

and they all wanted $23,500

i was like "you know for that i can get an 03 evo?"

i like making them feel as though the car is not as "bad" as they think it is

which its not by the way, it just has tons of potential

but i am not paying anymore than $20k . . and yes i can wait . . my EM1 does just fine for now

19.8k seems a bit much for a LX... I got my Si for 22,000 + TTL (which was like 1200).
Id pay the extra 3Gs for all the extras and the nice powertrain.

well the dude said 19.8 for the sedan after tax, and in washington state the tax is like 9.1%, so i guess the msrp and all the other crap before tax is 17.5 or so. civics going for close to 20k is unbelievable.. dont "honda" and "civic" means cheap reliable transportation? LOL

I might just get a used 03 WRX for 15k, at least its alot faster and cheaper.

it's the HOTTEST car out right now. it will prob be the hottest released this year. You do know it's Car and Driver's "Car of the Year". so obviously if you want one you will have to pay. my dealership sold a ex coupe for 26k with the 17"hfp wheels and the full body kit. the Si's are going for 24K+ when they come in stock. (currently SOLD OUT)
