NGK copper is the best both in conducting electricity and also in price. 4 copper plugs (BKR6E-11) from NAPA is less than $9. Change them every 10k-15k miles and you'll be good to go. Less than $40 for 4 sets, vs. over $40 for one set of NGK Platinum plugs. I'm on my 2nd set of NGK coppers right now.

To bad the search function doesn't work anymore, because I posted a message over on the Type-R forum about 1 month ago about spark plugs. I had listed two different dyno test which showed that the standard Bosch platinum plugs performed as well if not better than the NGK Platinum and Denso Iridium plugs.

I replaced my spark plugs (NGK platinums) over the weekend with the Bosch Platinum+4 plugs. There were two reasons that I went with the Bosch instead of NGK or Denso: price and the dyno results that I mentioned. The price of the NGK platinum or Denso Iridium plugs are $11-$15 a plug. The Bosch Platinum+4 are $5 a plug.

After I replaced the NGK plugs with the Bosch Platinum+4 plugs, the engine "felt" to rev smoother and faster. This could be attributed to the fact that the NGK platinum had 60K miles on them and/or the placebo affect.

The Bosch Platinums have a money back guarentee, so if I'm not satisfied with them I will just return them and install another set of NGK platinums. But so far, I have been satisified with the Bosch Platinum+4s.

I will see if I can find the dyno results that I mentioned above and I will post the links.
