integra rear brakes
i just replaced my bros rear rotors and pads.(well in the process) and right side rear rotor and pad is metal to metal, where left side rear still has good amount of pad left (about 4/30 sec?) just wondering if it can be anything else rather than the caliper slider and defective piston. i havent rotate the piston back so im not sure if its seized or not but will find out tomorrow. but any idea what else it can be other than piston and sliding pin?
proportioning valve maybe?? I'm not sure. I've never really ran into that problem other than the caliper siezing. If it's siezed up, replace it, and make sure you flush the brake fluid, because what will happen, is the fluid will get dirty, and substantially reduce the life of the calipers. Even brake fluid with 15000 miles on it can have a "virtual" age of 30000 miles. Brake flushes are simple and easy, and are the most neglected maintenance on vehicles all over. You can tell when you need a flush, when the fluid starts to get a dark green tint to it. I'm studying this for auto class, so I'm full of new info I'm trying to share. Hope this helps.

Pretty much the best thing i can come up with;http://www.cobaltfriction.com/siteim...structions.gif
Its where you under go some steps (listed in the link) after you install your pads to help insure the pads sit/mount evenly to help promote proper and even wear.
