Default F23 rev range?

What do you think an F23 block could safely rev to? without being touched?

i'm hoping about 7500...and if so...I'll be starting a new project with my spare block

i remember someone talking about the f23 having a bad rod/stroke ratio for high revs. im not too positive

You are crazy. Honda put a fuel-cut at ~6500 for a reason. Valves probably wont float until high RPMs, but I think your connecting rods and wrist pins will eventually fail if you raise or defeat the factory fuel-cut and rev to even 7000 often.
Like accord94dx said the F-motors have a real bad rod/stroke ratio.

um yeah, you would not want to rev past 6500 regardless of head build as the rod ratio is so shitty you would crack a cylinder b/c the side loading is so much

ummm. yea i rev mine to 7100 quite frequently, i have never bounced off the rev limiter and have no internal probs what so ever, but then again i don't really care now cause my h22 is on the way.

Seeing as all F-series motors have a 6500 RPM rev-limit, I don't see how you can be hitting 7100.

You have an Accord, which on the tach, the red zone does not begin until 7000 RPM? please take a picture of that. I've never seen or heard of any USDM Accord having higher than a 6250~6500 factory redline.

Tachs may be off by 200-800 rpm.

I hate to say it, but I don't think I've ever been wrong about anything on this board. If anyone has ever found me to be wrong, please let me know!

Give Dave a break. He meant it in a factual way, not arogantly. It basically came out wrong.

Ummm Gennady, people are gonna say you're swinging from my sack.

I should have said:
"I know this may come across as arrogant, and maybe i am, but to the best of my knowledge I haven't given any misinformation on the board. If I'm not sure about something, I won't say it, or I'll say I'm unsure. If anyone is aware of me giving misinformation, please let me know because I surely want to be corrected. I would be hate to be giving incorrect advise. Thanks."
