ATTS question *searched*
I have a 98 prelude S, and a 98 prelude SH, the body on the S is wrecked and the engine in the SH is smoked, I want to swap in the complete driveline from the S into the SH, if I swap in the engine harness and ECU along with the motor/trans will I be able to
keep the check engine/atts light off. Just wondering if anyone has done this before, I saw alot of posts about removing atts on a SH and couldn't tell if it was just a mechanical issue with a non atts transmission bolting to a SH block or if it posed electrical issues as well and would require the removal of the ATTS control unit to prevent the check engine/atts light.
thanks in advance for your help, any info, or any place I can do some research will
be greatly appreciated

nope... atts is a computer controlled manual transmission. it detects understear and compensates by applying increased torque to the inside axle. without the right tranny you would have a light on constantly.
If you're using the non-atts ECU along with the base engine/tranny you should be okay.
Just watch out for the immobilizer, though. It will want to see the base prelude's key ID despite it being in the SH.

unless you know first hand what you are talking about then shut the **** up.
If you remove the ATTS computer from the harness then you will not get the ATTS light. Simple as that. If the ATTS computer is plugged in and you arent using ATTS then you get a light.
I have a base block and an H23 tranny in mine. No ATTS light. just removed the ATTS computer, still using my original ECU.
the ECU will be determined on the ignition switch (due to the key), the immobilizer box and the ECU. You can swap engines until you die from exhaustion and the same key will still turn them all on.
