Default Kinda funny

Well I was driving the other day and I noticed my hand and steering wheel covered in blood! Turns out the chrome thats flaking off my shifter cut my finger and it bled like hell.

So I guess I'll just peel the rest off and sharpie it or something. But yeah it was messy.

Just thought I'd share I found it pretty funny yet odd at the same time.

haha quite funny, but don't sharpie it, just spend $10-$15 on ebay and get a dinky e-gay shifter.. will look better than dull sharpie, that'll "sweat off" onto your hand, if you sweat onto it!

This happens to me all the time in my 5th gen inside door handle. Some of the plastic cracked off and I leave this little piece hanging off and can't stop playing with it, lol.
It cuts the inside of my finger all the time like an annoying paper cut but I don't know the best way to fix it and can't find anyone that sells replacements or even the whole console.

I like those fake Type R black ones with the red stitching. Too bad it doesn't fit with my dark blue interior

Haha yeah the damn thing cut me again today. Wasn't nearly as bad but yeah how do you get the shifter off? Cause I think I'll just paint it and it's kinda loose anyways so it could use a tightning.

to get the shifter off just push down on the chrome part until it pops.

Yeah I'll probably just paint everything either black or match my interior and paint it blue.

Man, be careful not to get any of that chrome inside your fingers. I'm a machinist, back in about '89 I got some chrome off a lathe handle buried in my finger, went to bed, woke up with a goddamn bratwurst stuck on my hand! Chrome/Chromium contains quite a bit of mercury which is not good.
