are we doomed preluder...
well just read sport compact car and hella cars coming out. dodge neon SRT-4 with a hp of 205 is coming out this yr and lancer evo III with a hp of 276 turbocharged and intercooled. just letting u know guys
its still a nasty *** neon.
lancer is sweet though. but hey, you knew what you were getting into when you got a prelude, a kinda heavy good looking semi rare car with good handling that can bust into thirteens with a lot of work.
personally my car will just be transportation for a while...then im going to get something a little scarier (poopra)

I will never understand why people insist on comparing completely disparate cars based on horsepower and 1/4 mile times...
While we're at it, the Ford F150 Lightning pickup does mid 13's in the 1/4 and has 380hp...
So what? Who cares?

I'm not sure about where you guys live, but around here neon's are white trash thug race cars. i don't know what it is. anyway the only car you mentioned that is bad *** is the lancer evo VII, (not III). those cars run low 4 sec. 0-60, and low 13 second 1/4 miles stock. i'm a fan of the boosted 4g63, and with AWD, look out. we've all seen what a GSX can do.

i've been telling others this for a long time. no matter what the h22a's are outdated.
sure, i have one now and used to have an h22a4 in my accord but times are passing us by.
look at what other cars on the market are doing these days. the celica, a nissan altima will whip us good. now the neon, the focus svt and other cars of the sort.
the h22a has been in production since 1992. that means it was in the engineering phases about 15 years ago. and production beginning 10+years ago.
prelude is a great car. the motor is still great but we have to try even harder now to keep up.

bgod that seriously makes no sense. what does a motors age have to do with anything. like i mentioned above, take the 4G63 for example. if your not aware it's the motor that was in the 1st and 2nd Gen Eclipse gst/gsx, evo, ect. it appeared in 1987, and what do you know, it'll show up in the 2003 Evo VII. The H22a, and B-Series for that matter are still engineering marvels that are far from outdated. There really isn't anything ground breaking in the s2000's F20C engine. It's just a strong low friction inline four with high compression. (ok that's a little to simple), but you get the idea. Even the RSX's K20 isn't anything amazing. They are just barely faster than preludes. By the way, you must be on crack to say "celica's whoop up on us." you either can't drive or have an auto.
and there is something i must add. most of cars refinement comes things other than the engine, ie suspension, chassis, weight management/reduction. Look at it this way if you could put a H22 in an RSX, vs. an RSX with k20 (type s), who would win? yeah that's what i thought, but hey it's just an "outdated" h22. hehe
