Im looking into possibly trading my 98 240sx for an 01 Prelude. I an wondering if all the trimlines have the front LSD. I know the SH does. What is the difference between the base and the Type SH? Thanx

 

No USDM 5th gen Preludes have LSD.

the SH has ATTS. This is called active torque transfer system. It will put more power to the inside wheel causing it to spin faster while cornering. Makes the car seem like its RWD. Good for Auto X, bad for drag racing.

Id say stick with the S14 and slap a turbo on that thing, or, i have an SR20DET thats in peices that could use a hone and rebuild. Ill let that thing go for next to nothing.

correct me if im wrong but i think the jdm tranny only come with LSD the type sh has the ATTS unit.

no generation of usdm preludes had an lsd.

no, 98TypeSH, he said he had an SR in parts.

Oh the PAIN!! Such a beautiful and desireable car and Honda was too cheap to put in an LSD. Oh well. Maybe ill keep my 240 then. Anyone have car suggestions? I really dont want to buy an eclipse, celica or Spec-V. Maybe a Scion TC....anyone have input on them. Thanx.

VERY VERY WRONG!

again, no prelude ever that was usdm had quiafe lsds

thats like saying: all preludes came with tein coilovers

esp if it was brand name stuff, normally doesn't come from factory

 

ok, maybe not quaife then.... like I said I could be wrong. But I was severely under the impression that the vtec prelude had the factory option of a LSD in the USDM. But once again, I could be way off
