Smokin Ape Deal
for anyone thinking outside the box, this is a smokin deal. aprilia has some left over models and have been trying to move them. this is a 13-14k motorcycle

You may even be able to walk into your local dealer and ask for these left over models. but this deal is extremely low priced

From all I read, they are bulletproof, especially the Rotax engines. However, when something breaks, parts availability isn't the best and parts can be expensive.

I think that's in large part to the "Non-Japanese Boogeyman" that most people seem to hear about. It effects Aprilias, Ducatis, Audis, BMWs and pretty much any other European automobile.
Let's not forget that parts are generally relational to the MSRP of the vehicle. More expensive toys have more expensive parts, that's why they cost more in the first place.

There is nothing on this bike that you can not do yourself, not unlike on another bike when it comes to maintenance. to date I have not found parts to be hugely more significant in costs, actually I have been pleasantly surprised by how little things cost and how much support there has been. aprilia is about to invest in 18 new models in the next few years and has a huge cash infusion from pagioli. this is a SMOKIN deal, specially if you could get it as first bid price. OF course this si not the factory(16-17K), but this bike is more than competent and can be made to handle just as well. the German built Rotax is BULLET PROOF. Hoever I do understand the higher the entry fee, the more the drinks cost

Heh, I wasn't 100% serious but if someone wants it; $6200. Its a 98, and has 24k on it. Never been down, clean title. Stock with cf slips. Is a biposto so it has rear seat and such. Has a new clutch too. KBB books at $6300 and change with a provision up to 28k for the year and size. Is quite the pretty bike...

Forgot about that; It's in San Diego, CA. I will happily ship it anywhere but I do always prefer that people check things out firsthand or have a neutral party do it.

I would def have to get someone to check it out for me. Its funny that I will prob be in CA next week for spring break. I could come check it out myself. I wish I could ride it home instead of flying back but I don't think its a good idea
I should just stick to looking locally...

he won't be sorry
And if his dealer won't work with him, I can give him leads for late model pre-owned Ape's
