Glad to see your ok, I was driving the hatch in the other lane. How much damage did it cause to your car?

So you think I just fell asleep at the wheel?? When the chute deployed.....the car suddenly jerked into the wall......

There was a pretty bad crosswind. One pass my chute didn't come out when i expected it to, so i lifted and started to hit the brakes, then the chute caught. That caused the car to get a little squirley when it hit because the rear end was already light from braking. Every time i drove into the chute, it was never a problem. Did you lift the throttle before the chute hit?
Looks like the wind caught the 'chute and pulled the car to me. Hey Tony, are you using that 'Chute made for FWD cars or was it still a conventional RWD 'chute?

We learned from our mistake Tony. We "did not" keep on the throttle while waiting for the chute to catch......nobody ever told us about this.......until a fellow tuner named JD gave us a lesson after the damage was done....now we know about keeping on the throttle....until you initially feel the chute drag you....then "let go of the gas"......
btw.....YOUR car is pretty FAST!!!!!!!!....that thing hauls *** down the track!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, i'm still learning the car, hopefully we can get some better times on a better track. After all that rain the track was a little on the slick side.
Boogie - yes, i'm running the FWD specific chute from stroud.

i havnt pulled my chute yet...and im scared to! whats that stroud fwd chute go for?
you would think that things like this would be adressed during 9 second liscensing or something...make you take a test on safety haha. Charlie S. gave me a breif rundown on pulling the chute...i just havnt had to use it yet. im going to hit the brakes a 149 this year

The FWD Chute goes for $340. I can get them a bit cheaper than that if anyone is interested.
