Anyone on Neuspeed Race springs?
I'm looking into these. I'll be pairing them with KYB AGX's. I want to know if anyone here is running them. If so, how stiff are they, and did anyone use them with stock shocks? How was the ride?
I'm trying to decide between these and H&R race.. thanks!

I have that exact combo (AGX's on Neuspeed race springs) on my 4G. It gave about a 2" drop, and it handles on rails! Depending on your streets, it can get bumpy at times. But highway cruising, or smooth roads were a dream to drive on.
Not that AGX are bad, but their warranty is void with drops over 1.5." They also can't handle higher springs rates as well as off-the-shelf Konis. If you haven't purchased the AGX's yet, save up a little extra cash and get Konis - look for the Nolimit Motorsports Koni thread in the sponsors section and follow their link to get a set for $460 shipped.
If you do have the AGX's already, you should seriously consider going Neuspeed sport or H&R Sport instead.

i would have to agree and say save up for some better shocks that can handle more. i used to have neuspeed race and tokico illuminas. i loved that setup for auto-x, but it was killer on the streets and my girlfriend hated riding in my car because it was too bumpy. i have also had h&r race, and they are the same exact spriing, they have the same rates, height, diameter, and they are both even variable rated springs. i wouldn't recommend them if you live in a bumpy area.

Yes I have 2.25" drop springs but haven't got to installing them and I was seriously looking into purchasing KYB AGX or GR-2. If anyone has experience with drops beyond 1.5" and these shocks/struts please chime in. I don't mind if it voids the warrranty all I'm worried about is that they don't fail on me. thanks

I used neuspeed race springs with tockiko blue shocks... Excellent ride and a beautiful drop... Loved the way it felt... I got rid of my prelude and for some reason nobody wants to buy the suspension...

oh yeah and on race springs you will scrape on any bump that is more than 3" high. i hated it, at school in the parking lot, at the grocery store, around the mall, even the driveway. and you will have to use a few 2"x4" pieces of wood to get a jack under the car. just something to keep in mind when you drop the car. and if you take the car to a shop, they may scrape up the underside of your car trying to get it on the hydrolic lift. they got mine, not too bad though, when i took mine to the exhaust shop to get my exhaust fabbed.
I've been on Kyb Neuspeed race for three summers now and I've loved it. I am looking to see the difference when my Tein Flex go on in a few weeks. I always liked how may car handled with the old setup
neuspeed race springs and tokico hp (blue) shocks:
Same as everyone else says. The drop is perfect looking. Does get bumpy if the roads aren't that great; but you get used to it. Highway is smooth sailing no problems. Handling is awesome. I say go for it...cant go wrong with either neuspeed or h&r race

Hando, the Tokico Blues are nothing great (didn't want to say anything at first, but don't want you to be misled). Not trying to offend the Tokico owners here, but despite Tokico trying to market them as a performance upgrade, they're valved pretty much identical to the Honda OEM shocks and they're not exactly the longest lasting replacements. Consider them a budget OEM replacement.
The Illuminas are fine with a moderate drop (~1.5" ) and typical Sport spring rates, as are the KYB AGX. For a 2" drop, you shouldn't be using anything other than Koni or Bilstein Sport. Some of the AGX guys seem to be doing OK though so maybe thats another option if you absolutely can't afford an extra $100 for shocks.
Everyone has their own opinion about what constitutes a "good" ride, so maybe some people are happy with the Blues and 400lb springs (maybe they've also never driven a higher end setup) Personally, I think that the shocks and springs need to match, and the Neuspeed/H&R Race springs need a shock that can handle those high spring rates without being pushed to the limit (i.e. Koni). When you can get a set of Konis for $450, why bother dropping $300 on inferior shocks? Save up an extra month or two. My 2 cents.

thanks for the info guys...
I just wanted to make sure, do the neuspeeds have a high enough spring rate to handle the drop? or are they soft and bouncy?

i have the tokico blue hp suspension kit and they're great! does get bumpy, but what set doesnt'? i have 18s, and that's the only down side... i will be getting 16s/17s soon though... you can count on that!

205's for now on. I don't even want to risk it with 215's
