Idle Surge when Cold, hisses, then back to normal after the engine is warm.
Hey every1.
I have a b18b currently boosted with obd1 p75 ecu w/ crome as the managment.
During cold starts there is a Hissing noise, sounds like air releasing, near the passenger side firewall area. At this time the idle surges up and down while the engine is cold, then when the engine is warm, the idle is back to normal and stock plus the hissing noise goes away.
If any one has any clue about it please let me know thanks!
btw, i've spray brake cleaner on most of the lines around the fuel filter to check for vac. leaks since that is where the sound is coming from

check your FITV. The hissing and surging when cold is probably from that, once the motor gets warm, that valve closes and therefore you dont hear it anymore.
