Yeah, they are only for two mounts. A pair for the front and a pair for the back. Everyone says the rear is a pita, but it wasnt very hard on my 4th gen si. All I did was take off the intake pipe, there was no need to take off the intake manifold. My donwpipe was off too, but I am not sure if this normally gets in the way or not. It didnt take me more than a few hours working slowly to do front and back.
what kind of suspension work do you have done? yeah those ES motor mount inserts will do most of the trick. there are other advantages as well. shifts feel really precise, and the front end feels a lot sturdier.
hey silverlude, you are confusing me, you say there are only 2, but then you go on to say a pair for the front and a pair for the rear...so which is it, 2 or 4. And do you recomend this as a do it yourself install, or a shop install?? Cause I might not have the necesary tools (for example, the engine lift thing) Let me know. Thanks
Well there are 4 actual pieces of polyurethane in the package. Each motor mount takes a pair though - they kind of slide in on each side of the mount. Like this:
[ I ] , where [ and ] are the inserts and I is the mount. But you get a set for the front mount and a set for the rear. I would never pay a shop to do it, but some people say its a real pain so who knows. All I used were ramps, a hydraulic jack, a ratchet, and an impact gun (not really needed but makes everything so much easier). If you know what you're doing, I would definitely say do it yourself. Personally, I think its one of the easier and more uneventful installs I have ever done.

Silverlude, I appreciate your help, I do have a few more questions though....the install, how?? I have a hydrolic jack, jackstands, and sockets and ratchets, so what do I do, jack the car up and where do I go from there. Pardon my ignorance but I really have no idea how to do this, I dont even know where the mounts are. Please let me know. Thanks
Hmm, its kind of hard to describe. If you remind me, I can try to take some pics this weekend while I am working on the car. Its really only a few bolts though, not bad at all.
