I got a JDM B16A 1st gen in a EM1 with no mod except for a skunk2 chip in my ECU. But I only get about 20 MPG in the city drive'n normal! People tell me they smell unburn gas coming out of my car. Where do I even begin to look for the problems?

Why on earth did you put a 1st gen into an EM1? That makes no sense.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Do you have access to a stock ecu?
If so, I'd try that before you do anything. I've got a bad feeling about this "skunk2" chip. Sounds to me like just another typical ebay performance chip that just dumps a huge amount of fuel into the motor.

Well your on the right track, but the USDM del sol obd1 b16 is what orginal used the p30. you will need the obd2->obd1 conversion harness to make the p30 work. the em1 is obd2 which will use stock the p2t ecu.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP! I actually have JDM B16A FIRST GEN in an EM1? Why would a JDM B16A first gen be in an EM1?! I have no fcking idea..the previous owner put it in there. So I should still use a P2t for my JDM B16? Oh to help. They previous owner of the vehicle said he cnoverted his motor to a OBD1. And the ECU box was lable by a marker ( 92-95 DELSOL ) So what kinda of STOCK ECU should i be looking for? This "Too much gas but not enough power" is really irritate'n me.
there is like a barcode type of sticker on the side of the ECU, there are a buncha numbers and you should see something like P30 or something like that in the middle or so ... sorry i cant explain .. i can try and get a picture later

So I did some inspection today and found that the previous owner of the vehicle that swap the JDM B16A in this EM1 didn't do a good job at all. As a matter of fact its probably the worst fuking job i ever seen. The wire was all wired wrong so alot of the sensor wasn't performing properly thus the ECU couldn't calculate the fuel effectively and THUS the B16A is distrubute'n unnecessary fuel. So, now I'll just be rewire'n it back to normal. It should be in proper state soon.
