Toda Racing Timing Belt
I'm curious about this timing belt that Toda Racing makes.
They say that its 200% stronger, more resistance to cutting, more heat resistance, better tooth integrity, and more resistance to abrasion. But is this really true?
Is there anyone that has this timing belt for a B18C engine or B16? Is it worth it or should I stay with good ol' OEM?
Thanks!

I had one on my GSR and it saved my ***. I had a rock get in between the cam gear and belt and it didnt break. The rock was big enough that it went through the valve cover, dented the hood and ruined the cam gear. Through all of that the belt stayed in one piece despite being over 6000 rpm and only 1/3 of the belt left on about a two inches stretch. I currently have a honda belt in there because I wasnt able to get a Toda replacement at the time, I just got one a few weeks ago and will be installing it soon. As for wear I put about 30000 km on it and it had NO signs of wear.

I have the Toda belt on my car. 550 whp 400 wtq Daly driver/weekend dragster.
I saved my *** too. The crank pulley came off during one of my 1/4 passes, the belt slid off about half way, cut through the timing belt covers, but staid in one piece and never sliped. big

Just installed the TRUST belt on a 4G63T motor..... I think this belt is one tooth less than the original because it took two people to stretch this thing on and when I pulled the pin out of the hydraulic tensioner, it didn't move because the belt was already tight enough. Looks to be a heavy duty belt.

anyone else? damn you just got a million answers. But yeah me too. I run it with no cam gear cover and a few rocks have picked at the belt but it has held this whole time (1 year).
THere ya go, now go buy the belt. THey go for $150

Have had one on my car for over a year as well. While my car isn't a crazy powerhouse or anything, it is my daily driver, and I did put about 20k miles on my car since I've had the thing installed. No complaints from this one either.
