t1r Catback Exhaust
Whats goin on everyone...
I currently have AEM CAI, DCRH, and Magnaflow on my EP. The sound it makes is rediculous. Raspy and incredibly loud. It is very unpleasant and would deffinitely not fly in Cali. If I plan on bringing my car down to school (Santa Clara University) I need to pick up an exhaust that will be quieter. Tommarow I plan on ordering the Type One Racing full catback (stainless steel with the burnt titanium tip... mmmmm). My question is, with the silencer, with the DCRH+AEM CAI+T1R exhaust be quiet enough for california streets? When I am back home in Washington I will surely be driving with the silencer out in order to gain power, but I am worried about it still being too loud for down here even with the silencer. What are peoples thoughts?
On another note, does anyone know of a specific flat black high temp paint that will work well for painting the silencer?
Thank you very much for your help.

I have a RH, CAI with the T1R exhaust and with the silencer it isn't loud. Definately should be under CA sound level requirments. Only issue I had with the silencer was that it would rattle sometimes in the tip. Since the T1R b-pipe can be connected to a type-S axleback I would hook that up for daily driving and when the weekend hits or a track event, I switch the T1R muffler back on.
exactly what i was gonna say about T1R catback with the silencer in... at about 2k- 3k RPM it gets a nasty rattle in the muffler... just dont drive with silencer in... the T1R isnt raspy at all... nice deep tone..
