1500lbs. It's like having a 1995 Prelude with the equivalent of 400hp and 320ft-lb of torque.
Turboing it, well, if you drove it that would seem... unnecessary.

Okay that hurt...
It does slightly lessen the chances of getting a ticket though.

Short story: I'm not sure.
Longer story: It could have been a sticky solenoid valve (VTEC, whatever) since the engine sat for so long. Or maybe backpressure in the exhaust. Initial test drives (when it had the problem) were with very few baffles in the SuperTrapp muffler, meaning a fair bit of backpressure. So I added all the baffles to see if that was it, and the problem went away. A connection? Who knows. I haven't removed the babbles to see if the problem comes back... too much fun driving the car right now.

Nice build!!!!
Is that the stock wheelbase? Super wide from driver to passenger wheels!
Also...sounds like your friend is a little VTEC happy! Reminds me of well...me when I first got my prelude! VTEC was the **** back in the day!

Stock internals and stock 80"(!) Mini wheelbase. The half-shafts had to be shorted about 2" each side.
Because of the small 13" tires, first gear is nearly useless and I regularly start in second. Its 0-60 time could be much better then it is now (4.6sec). That's because I run out of rpm and have to shift at 58mph. If I could stay in second it would give a 3.9sec 0-60 time! So, if I bother doing anything to the engine, it would be to build it so I could run up to 8000rpm and not worry about it.

that car is incredible!
sounds great :D
can you get some shots (vid or picture) of the gauge cluster? I'd like to see it.
how is the engine mounted? did you make mounts or use stock honda mounts?
you know what you should do now...swap that h22 out for a k24
lighter engine and more power, whats not to like
