ok i got a crush-bent custom 2.25 catback exhaust with a straight thru type muffler.. the thing is loud as hell, its really deep especially in the lower rpms... the guy took out my resonator so thats probably why it's so loud. tomorrow i'm going to tell him to put back the resonator and see if it'll be any softer... i think the 2.25 piping made me lose a lot of low end power... now my auto tranny shifts at a higher rpm than before. i was wondering if by putting on the resonator, my tranny will shift at the usual 3k rpm or no? probably not huh? damn it's loud...

edit: i took it back and they charged me extra 40 bucks to weld the resonator back on.. its still loud, but it seems to be not as loud as without the resonator.

my question is: where is the sound coming from? the wider piping? the staight thru muffler? or a combination of both? and also what can i do to get rid of the loud noise?
