is there a knock sensor on the d16y8? if so where is it located? thank you.

 

im not to familar w/ the d series # on the block but all the 92-95 sohc vtec doesn't have a knock but the obd-2 96 and up got one...someone correct me if im wrong..

 

Yes, it is slightly higher and toward the driver side of the oil pressure sensor. Both are located on the back of the block below the Intake Manifold, but abouve the oil filter. The knock sensor has a blue clip with a single red/blue wire, and is a BITCH to take off! You will probably break it, as I did, they are $117 from honda. You can use any other knock sensor from a B-series also
