compresion test; head gasket or worse?
the test went as follows, WOT, no dizzy, main relay fuse out, following the manual and such. I got 170psi on #1, 170 on #2, 200 on #3, and 200 on #4. just did a y8 head on y7 block using new y8 gasket. any input would be great.
Thanks

you are OK with those results, but looking to see if you have milk spots in your oil or brown spots in your coolant should tell you more. But those seen like decent results for a comp test on a mini-me.
What about the smoke? is it just because of the new gasket? My service manual says that a difference of more than 28psi across the cylinders is bad. Any thoughts?
Sorry read it wrong, that 170-200 gap is pretty big. did you torque down the head studs in the criss-cross pattern?

did you have the head checked out by a machine shop before installing it?
