What is the object in the 1st pic. In the 2nd pic why do I have 2 mount bolts? Do I need 2 stud mount bolts??

The black thing on top of the trans looks like a cover over a dipstick holder is just that, some cars actually have a dipstick to check transmission fluid.

The other mount on the front of the trans is part of the front tranny mount that goes under your frame in the front, I will try to get pics by tommorrow. The last one on the back of the trans, I have no clue about.

 

i think the first pics is just a transmission plug

 

1 is a vent cap
2 I cant even tell what is in the rear (what is that mount bracket in front??)

 

The first pic is a vent for your transmission.
The bolt could be for the other side?

 

Thats the aem v2 mount bracket. I got the motor and it had 2 stud mount bolts. I am not sure why. Do I need 2 of them?

 

I looked around... I cant find anywhere that the other studded bolt could go.

 

Take a pic of the one in the back, theres no mount that goes that way back there that i have ever seen.

 

The only thing in the back is the t-bracket i think its called. Both of those bolts were laying on the intake manifold when I got the motor. I figured out that one went in the front trans mount. I think they might have sent me an xtra one but I am just trying to make sure.

That thing bolted to the transmission is some kind of solid torque mount, but not sure what company makes it.

 

It is for the ac motor mount on the other side.

 

the first pic is the vent hole for the tranny. you can pop the cap off and fill your tranny useing that hole.

edit: the second pic looks like the front circle is for the front torque mount. take a pic of the rear bolt you have circled from the back side of the motor

 

Its the exact same bolt.

This is the bolt. Where else would one like this go besides the front transmission bracket?

that bolt goes on the driver side of the motor into the other torque mt, jist to the left of the crank pully in your 2nd to last pic

I didnt even realize there was another mount. What exactly do those mounts do?? Are they for stability or something?
