Hey whats up? i just got my first del sol, and im doing a 2000 civic si front end conversion, my question is, does anyone have any opinions on a goop lip for the civic bumper? just wanted to know if there were any pics you guys could post up? thanks

If you must go with something aftermarket look into a JDP CF lip those are nice IMO.

JDMcarboy is the guy that everyone hates for not sending things, scamming people, and having lips and seats and **** not fit, right?

 

replica lips look so shitty .. stick with oem .. you can find em for 100 if you wait around and do some searching

 

i had good luck with jdmcarboy...got my **** in 3 days and he's in cali and i'm in indiana....fitment was perfect...w/e tho....waste your $$

 

i dont think the ek-(96-00 civic) front will look good AT ALL on a del sol, if you must do a conversion i would say go with an eg front end-(92-95 civic)

 

well im getting the si conversion dirt cheap, so i think ill stick with that since it will be cheaper for me.. my body shop guy already has the parts at his shop, i thought about the eg conversion but for him to order the parts it would cost me more.. im just a cheap bastard..

i dont get why ppl dont like the si front on a del sol. its his car. besides, that conversion looks real nice if done right. my boy had a 93 sol with 2000 si front, custom cf lip, oem fogs, s2000 tail lights, m3 deck lid, car was painted in si blue. some might think thats rice but i'm the type that all about the stock/jdm/sleeper look and that car didn't look bad at all imo. i say go for it and get a mugen or spoon cf lip or oem si.

 

ive been looking for pics all night, havent found any..my buddy told me he saw that conversion done on a del sol in the fast and the furious movie, a white one? i never noticed it.. when my body shop guy recommended the job, i thought it would be a good look though, and the price is right so im goin for it, it should be done in the next month, and ill have pics up for sure when it is..

Maybe if you do something to the rear to balance out the "heavy" front look, it might look ok.

are you talking about that picture ^^^? because if so, i agree with you, i hate body kits etc that buddy club bumper is gay. i was thinking of keeping the si bumper with a type r lip?? opinions?

I think it had a FEELS style front bumper (not with this prelude/sol combo though).
