Default Replacing the rear struts... Again

I did a little searching about this, but if you've ever used the search function on H-T you know you need the EXACT phrase to come up with anything useful, and well, I didn't get anything useful.

Heres the problem. I have H&R 3" drop "Race" springs and KYB AGX struts and after about 2.5 years the struts started making terrible noises. I got my taxes back and ordered some new struts.

My question is in order to do replace the struts correctly, what parts do I need? I'm going to keep the same springs and, like I said before, I got new KYB AGX struts. Do I need new bump stops? Anything else that I should know going into the install? What other parts should I replace while I'm in there?

I've replaced my struts before, but I had air tools and a lift. This time around I am going to be doing it in my driveway, so any inside tips would be sweet. Thanks for your time

You do realize that the warranty on the AGX is void if you lower the car below 1.5", right? You should really get a set of Konis to run springs like that. Then you wouldn't have shocks die after only 2 years.

Anyways,

bump stops are probably fine but if they look like they're starting to tear or fall apart though, you should obviously get rid of them. How many miles on the current suspension parts (the mounts and hardware)? For each shock, I'd replace the rubber spring seat, the 2 rubber mounts, and the metal sleeve that fits over the shock shaft (it causes shock knock as it compresses with age). The only other wear item I can think of would be your balljoints. Unless you messed them up on a previous install, all the nuts and bolts should last the life of the car.

If you go to hondaautomotiveparts.com, they have numbered diagrams with everything laid out for you and their prices are usually very reasonable.

see if that works. If not, just go thru the pulldown menus and select "rear shock absorber" as your parts category. You want #9, #14(x2), and #15. The bumpstop is #13 if you need it.
