So, today I was putting in a TIMEING BELT cover to protect my timeing belt. I notice the cover does not fit in my JDM B16A 1st gen. I am 100% sure I put it in the correct way but the cam gear looks like it'll grind with the cover. So, my question is. Will some of the USDM part for my EM1 won't fit in my JDM B16A engine? And, how dangerous is it to ride around without a TIMEING BELT COVER? The piece of plastic around the timeing belt.
yeah some of them are different you might get lucky and can possibly find one that fits but other then that some of em will fit some of them wont from what i know. it shouldnt be that bad without the cover a lot of people do it all the time just dont have stuffin hanging around the engine compartment or throw a screw driver in there. ive work on blown engines with bits and little tools around that area. just be careful when you leave the cover off.
