I'm going to install front and rear GSR disc brakes on my 00 hatch (Metal Master pads, Goodridge steel braided lines) and am not sure which BB/MC to run. I currently have a 1" MC and BB combo from a DC (how can I tell for sure?) but have heard that the pedal will be rock hard. Can anyone comment on this setup for mostly street use? Should I run the 15/16" MC instead?
This is the setup I run - 1" mc/bb, integra calipers
I like it much better than the civic components.
It will not be rock hard with integra calipers, only with smaller ones from a civic.
It will feel slightly firmer than stock. It is more recognizable with small calipers because you are moving a lot more fluid to compress small pistons - with the larger ones, it is not as noticable (slightly more with stainless lines)
The side of the master cylinder should have a 1 on it.
You will not notice the difference between a 1" and a 15/16 mc

thanks for the reply. Yeah, the MC does have a 1 on it. I noticed that the hard line connections are not in the same spots as my stock MC. Did you have to bend and reflare? Do all 1" MC's have hard line connections in the same spots?
i currently have 98-01 ITR MC/BB and it will bolt up without re-flaring the lines
it is a direct bolt on, well it was too big i had to take the intake manifold off to put on the MC/BB. good luck bro i hope this helps

yea thanks for the help. I hope I don't have to take off my intake mani to do the install
I must have a 1" MC/BB from a DA because I know my lines won't bolt up.

dont you mean DC? because from what i read on H-T, only the ITR will line up to our model without re-flaring the lines. anyway, like i said it worked for me and it will for you as well
as for the feel, it is not rock hard at all...it feel firm and strong, but if you slam on your brake pedal i guess it will be rock hard at that point...
