Default Anti-lock Axles on a non-antilock car?

Are the anti-lock axles the same as the regular axles for the 1992-1995 cars? The shafts were replaced a few days before I bought the car and I'm concerned that the people that replaced them put the wrong ones in. I have a little bit of oil leakage on the passenger side where the shaft enters the transmission and I'm afraid I'm going to burn up the tranny. It doesn't leak a lot, just enough to see the spray left behind on my fire wall. I have replaced them twice before on my 1992 Si and once on my 1995 DX several times without any leakage.

Thanks guys!

if I remember correctly,

the axels are the same. The hub is where the parts become different.

As far as I know the axles are exactly the same. The only difference being the ABS axles have the ring on the hub for the wheel speed sensor.

I think you can knock that ring off, if it makes you happy. then they will be the same.

The axles are the same length they just have a ring for the speed sensor. As for the leaking...you get them to replace the seal or did they use the old one? It's possible that when they put the axle in they may have tweaked the seal a bit.

The reason why they are leaking is because your axel seal in the tranny is shot, replace it their like $10 and remember passenger and drivers side axel seals are different sizes

I don't think it fits. Because when I change an axle on my EM1 (which has no ANTI-LOCK BREAKS). I order an axle from a honda place and they sent me one that is for ANTI-LOCK breaks and the axle wouldn't fit. So i called them back and told them i need one without anti-lock and so that one fit. I am not 100% sure about this but thats what happen to me

they should work because when i bought my car i had found that one of my axles had an abs ring on it and my car does not have abs. also on some of my older cars i worked on i had used abs axles on the cars i worked on all i did was pop off the ring. you can leave em on if you want the axles are really the same in size its just the ring. i hope that helps

all eg use the same axle abs or non. 2.5 quarts will fill the tranny if its dead empty, and 10w30 el cheapo motor oil is what i use.

I've heard to only use honda trans fluid. It's only 3 bottles and worth the risk if you ask me?

dont use cheapo oil on trannys you dont have to change the oil that often. Get the honda oem manual tranny oil for $7 a quart. $21 for tranny oil change isnt bad
