99 Civic EX VS 01 VW Golf

99 Civic EX VS 01 VW Golf
I only have one friend that is in the tuning of 4 cylinders, he drives a VW golf 01, its the n/a 2.0, rated at 118 hp. He says, "my car will blow your f*cking doors off" I know that i have more hp but im sure he has more torque since his motor is bigger, would he really blow my doors off, in your opinion who would win? Ive been trying to race him but it never works out cause we usually meet in heavy traffic with tones of cops around so we cant race. Thanks for your comments

bench racing sucks, but i hate VW's. so if you DO race him, i'll tell you to do it from a dig...your tranny is short, that's a definate advantage
