Default Removal of FIA Controller for intake

It took me a long time to figure out what the little black box was underneath the stock intake. I have never ran into anything like it before and ended up cutting one of the hoses that was connected to the FIA Controller itself. There was a seperate part itself on it with a solonoid of some sort along with a plug, and like 3 other hoses, I removed the bolt holding this and it just sits loosely in the engine bay. I'm not sure if I'm suppose to remove the rest of these hoses, as I already have one of them cut and going to nothing. I've heard something about a foam filter, or capping the hoses, I'm not entirely sure what to do. I have no idle problems but I don't want the feeling of ghetto rigging my Accord. If anyone can enlighten me or even knows what I'm talking about your input would be greatly appreciated.

Second: If you can supply us with a picture of what it is that you're hacking up, it will help greatly.

Third: Where in the world did you get the idea of doing this???

Oops sorry, 1996 Accord EX. I will try to take/find a picture asap. I don't know where I got the idea, or even if I have the right name for it, but I will post a picture to help you out. After I removed the stock intake, there was one hose running along it I just unclipped and left, and this black box underneath that the hose ran to. I tried to install the intake, which wasn't an ebay intake rather an Injen so I didn't forsee any complications, but the intake pipe sat on top of the box and caused it to sit way to high and hit the hood. So I staired at the little black box for a while, and finally removed the two bolts holding it in, disconnected the solonoid/plug attached to it and left it, however the hose connected to the box itself I cut since it had to come out. I will get a pic on here asap since this is probably all mumbo jumbo.

Here is a link to what I'm talking about but only has pics of it already being removed. I am still searching for a picture of itself, but not having any luck.
