Default Pics of the new look for my daily driver 98 EJ8.

Here are some pics of the new paint job/etc for my daily driver.. i was getting bored with it the way it was so i decided to give it a makeover.

Heres a before pic. dont let the pic fool you. it wasnt that clean.. both the front and rear bumpers were all scraped up and then touched up with silver spraypaint (got it this way) apparently something had also fallen on the trunk.. because it was all dented up on the topside and then partially repaired with some amateur bodywork. And I hated that POS ebay mugen grill

This is the after pic- new bumpers (obviously) as well as hood, wheels, wing, etc.

The car is otherwise bone stock.. i thought about putting a motor in it.. or boosting the SOHC.. but im loving the gas mileage and reliability of the stock sohc... and since ive got a bigger project going on, i decided not to bother going any further with this car.

Ive got two 98 coupes with front end swaps and etc.. and i decided to wing this one and not wing the other.. so that way id have two different looks.
I like it both ways, but i agree that wingless looks smoother.

ohh so you wanted the GT3's for that car. It looks good on the red ones.

Where did you get the paintwork done? also what'd it run you? I'm gonna need to get my car painted eventually.

Noooooo, not broken.. just missing one lug nut on each wheel.. been like that since i got it and ive been too lazy to buy a new set of lugs.

Never fails.. someone always pinpoints the smallest detail just to be a critic.

Yeah.. i love the color.. i shopped a long time for it.

Apparently it was a big hit at the body shop too.. like people were coming in and commenting on it etc.. and apparently someone even decided to do their own car the same color after seeing it..or so i was told...

At first, I wasnt too sure about the wheels.. I was actually afraid I made a mistake.. my gf hated them.. and my father (who is an old school gearhead) hated them also....

But after a couple of days i was in love with them.. and now i wouldnt give them up for any other wheels.

I know red wheels are becomming increasingly popular.. but i havent seen any in my general area.. so all the more reason for me to like them
