how good are toyo proxes??
with my new 16x7 OZ superleggeras, I am thinking of getting the toyo proxes T1-S..how are they?? I have heard they are pretty good, but would like some 1st hand accounts..as tirerack doesnt deal with them.
thanks so much!!!!

If your not concerned about price then they are the best all round performer, excellent grip and good wear rate too, i just fitted a new set last thursday, I've tried loads of other tyres, goodyear F1s/Pirelli p5000/Dunlop Sp9000/Falken??/Pirelli P-zero's/ and i think that the toyo out does them all in terms of performance/grip/wear

They are ok.. their sidewalls are somwhat weak IMO. Hit a pothole going like 20mph got a blister on it.
I really like the grip of the tires and they are really good in the rain also. I can't really compare to other tires since the only other tire I've had is the Toyo T1Plus (the last model of T1S). But a couple friends have used a bunch of different tires and love the T1S for street use. And they are the tire used in the Speedvision World Challenge also. I've heard the Falken Azenis is just as good or maybe better on dry, but if you drive int he rain, the T1S is really good. The only downside is expect to pay ~$130/tire.
I've owned these tires. I'd say they are good overall. Very quiet. They don't squeel very easily, but would scrub if you try to spin them out (or can't help it because of lots of power). For a turbo app, they would spin out in 1st and 2nd....grip was mediocre, but for cars not making more than 200 whp, I would say the grip would be pretty good. The sidewalls were a little more spongy feeling compared to the Pirelli P7000 I had previously, but nothing too bad.
I haven't tried enough brands of tires to give a really good review, but I would say that overall they were good and suited me well. I'm going to try Bridgestone S03 pole positions or Yokohama AVS sports next, looking for better dry grip.

Dry Traction Kicks ***....
Wet Tractios is EVEN better!
Since I live here in FL wet traction is important to me.

how do the t1s compare to the fz4? i have fz4's and i don't think that they are that bad, for the price atleast. Hard to find a 215/35/18 for a decent price.
