Polyurethane (sp?) Motor mount & Tranny mount inserts?
Heard from a friend that i might need these. Car is jerking funnily when i ride on gears. I see these kits floating around all over ebay. Just wondering, are they reliable? Easy to install?
You want to check first for any torn mounts because a jerking motor isn't normal and the polyurethane inserts should not be inserted into torn motor mounts.
I have only the two lower torque mounts filled with the polyurethane inserts and it makes a good amount of difference over stock. The vibration is a little bit more than stock, but the engine seems a lot more stable. They weren't hard to install, but you will have to lower the motor a little bit by the tranny and drivers side mount in order to fit them in. I haven't even messed with the rear mount since it looks like a total PITA.

i think i may be having teh same problem so i was wondering if the mounts come sold in singles or in a whole box? also i was wondering if this could be the reason my engine or transmission may be making a jerking sound when i shift at high RPM's

OEM mounts are sold separately. Replace the OEM mount if it is ripped before thinking about putting inserts in it. I think you can buy Prothane's mounts individually, but Energy Suspension is sold in a pack of 3.

do i have to replace the whole motor mount like the whole frame thing or whatever u call it? or can i replace that bushing inside it? and if i can replace the bushing inside would i be better off getting OEM ones or getting after market ones and where can i get some?
OEM mounts are sold in one piece. the bushing inside is not servicable. make sure urethane mounts are where you want to go... engine vibration and clutch chatter will be augmented since urethane bushings dont flex much... especially if you do all of the mounts...
