Default S2000 taillight swap????

Quick question.... Will the 05-06 led taillights directly bolt in to 00-04? I've researched and cant find anything on it......I'm pretty sure they will, just checking before I make the purchase.... Thanx

Requires cutting of the rear panel and modifications to the plugs.

they are not a direct fit. i believe you also have to drill new mounting holes.

I did this. It took around 2 hours to do becaus we had to dremel out a larger hole for the new housings. You'll also have to make sure you make a metal bracket to hold the inside part of the housing or your gasket will be exposed and condensation will occur. Dremeling down the sockets to fit the new ones was a pain. The turn signal bulbs also needs to get adjusted so that they don't hyper blink.

Either get AP2 plugs for the LEDs and swap the pins, or you have to shave your existing plugs down to fit into the taillight's sockets.

Good luck finding those. Might as well buy them new, $190 a piece from Majestichonda.com.

So i'm assuming I should go ahead and buy the new gaskets and tap screws....With new sockets and bulbs.... Now are those separate bulbs for the leds?????

The brake light is the LED unit itself. It's a lot cheaper shaving down the original sockets. It's very easy to understand once you attempt to plug in the sockets once 2004+ taillight is installed. That is the hard part. Overall, become and s2ki user and here is the whole conversion step by step http://www.s2ki.com/forums/ind...83447
