Default 92-96 Prelude question: auto and manual have the same engine harness?

Hey all,

A guy who emailed me is in need of some help. He has a 96 Prelude that has an auto tranny. He parted out hsi car because he wrecked it. However, he was able to fix it. Now he needs to buy a new engine harness to put the engine back in. He found one from a 96 Prelude Si manual tranny, however, he wants to know if it is the same one as the one that comes in the auto Prelude. Is it?

It is my understanding that the Preludes share the same engine harness; the difference lies in the tranny. The auto tranny has its own ECU. Correct?

Any help is appreciated.

Andy

no its not the same. the auto tranny requires that the sensors be plugged in, and those plugs are a part of the engine harness.
