Accord - Won't go into reverse

Anyone every experience this problem.

Have 91 Accord, auto transmission, gives a grating sound when try to put in reverse and never goes into reverse gear. Any ideas?

Transmission could be taking a crap on you? Does it work in the other gears? Do you have any ATF in the tranny?

mine did that too, the shifter wouldn't budge into reverse unless it jerked it, but it never made a sound, i just lubed up the shifter assembly and it works fine now
