Default How much VTEC is too much Vtec?

I heard that you should keep your vtec to a minimum of no more then twice a day. If you hit Vtec too much it'll damage your engine. Is this true or what? Cuz I don't know why Honda would put something in that you can't use ALL the time. How much Vtec is hitting too much Vtec for the good of your einge?

Ya, I've been told by my family doctor that you shouldn't take more than 2 vtecs a day. Any more than that and you run the risk of causing some serious bodily harm because you might crash and die.

No seriously, there really is no limit. But revving the crap out of any engine on a regular basis will cause accelerated wear and tear. It's no big deal though, just do the proper maintenance and enjoy the engine as you see fit (w/o harming anyone else that is).

limiting vtec use is like limiting the number of times per day you can jack off...

Never heard of that one. Ive got a vtec controller, so mine is set so low that I hit vtec almost everytime I shift. It will never hurt your motor. It runs off of oil pressure, if the motor doenst like it, it will go into limp mode.
