to mount the oil pump, its prolly like 12 foot pounds but does it really matter? Thats one of those, get it tight till your comfortable things. I know i never torque stuff like that to "spec". Anything having to do with the rotating assembly or valve train i always pay close attention to specs on those. Oh well do what you wish. do a search for an online service manual. theres some service manuals available for download somewhere on here in some threads. they are like 1500 pages in a pdf format. good luck

rear main:
6x1 mm = 8 lbft

oil pump:

6x1 = 8 lbft
8x1.25 = 17 lbft

ahh......yes it does matter.....i hope you dont build engines for people

thats the worst statement i've ever heard.......always torque the oil pump.

as a matter of fact i do build engines for people and i pay close attention to detail. Never had one fail from assembly error yet. Yeah im sure torque on a housing really affects the operation of the internal section of the oil pump. Yes its good to always follow torque specs but get real man.
