Today I went to discount auto parts and baught a apc intake system for my 94 ex. I took out the stock system and put on the new one. Looks nice but it does not run right. It idles low, and when I turn it on, it sounds like its going to turn off. But it doesn't. Now, on the old factory intake system there were two hoses that went on the intake system. One came from the valve cover to the intake system and the other came from somewhere else that also went to the intake system. I removed the old system and put the new on. I put the new hose that went from the valve cover to the intake system and the other hose........ well there was not a spot for that. What do I do with that hose???? Also the instruction told me to drill a hole on the rubber part on the back of the air filter so that I can put the vacum hose through it. I did that. I hope I didn't screw up on the vacum hose. I believe I put the right one in.

Does anyone have step be step pic on how to install the system??? I tried googling for a 1/2 hour and I found nothing. I also tried searching for this on here. I found nothing as well. So now I come to you guys for help.

 

Grab your Sales slip and give me the APC Part number of the unit you bought. I'll see if I can scare up something for you.
I can't see where there should be any reason for a reaction like that... perhaps something will hit upside the head

So what do I do with that extra hose????? I think I lost power on my top end.
When I take off it gets to 3 1/2 rpm kinda fast then it looks like it slows down after that. Do you have a pic of my motor that you can put up and I'll show you what hose I'm talking about. And thank you adam for helping me on this

 

I haven't forgotten you, I just gotta put this down for a minute. I've looked at about 30+ web sites so far and I'm finding everything but....

Larger of the two (most likely the one supplied) goes to the Valve Cover breather assembly. The other one went to the area of the Throttle Body.
The problem I'm running into is I can find the instructions for the 151003k Kit, but not the 151004k Kit. So, as far as the small one....
If your vacuum hose map is still intact under the hood, you might be able to interpret it..

I found the problem. I did not plug a sensor back in its place. It was the sensor that went on top of the throttle body. It runs like a champ. I love the sound she makes at 4500 rpm.
