Okay, so we all know B16 lack major TRQ. 112 and thats not even to the WHEELS!! Pretty shitty stuff man. What I'm looking for is ways to add more TRQ to my JDM B16A 1st gen. What do yu guy think? My buddy tell me to turbo it. He said it should give me around 204 pounds of TRQ if i turbo my engine. What are your thoughts pros?
it depends on what other kinds of supporting mods u will be running ect...
but its good to set a goal as you are doing but u need to make sure u got the money.
u can make 3x's that if u got the cash soo search around for turbo kits and list ur ideas/ goals

All i want is for my B16 to push 200+ pounds of trq and 250+ HPs to the wheels. I am not asking for no 12s 1/4 miles run time. Just something that can hang with type R.

You want to get torque, ur best bet is to save ur money and search hard for a B18 bottom end. They are the only ones that make torque but dont expect 200! If you go turbo expect 160TQ with stock internals. I barely got 168 out of mine.

O god!
thats the most ridiculous thing ive heard in a while hahaha
pretty sure a stock block b18a/b can handle a tiny tiny bit more
<- of course this again depends on boost but id shoot for a little higher than 160, with a good tune and nice weather 8 psi could easily get you 200 wtq
"the only ones that make torque" <- what does this mean? im sooo lost... help me out here

I am not trying to be a dick just saying B16A will always lack in torque. If you want to make big torque you need more displacement. To the wheels you are going to have to spend a lot to get 200ish torque out of a B16A. I turbod mine and on 10psi got 168tq. If you go with a ran a poor mans type r with cams you could walk a type r!

ahhhh i got ya i thought u were refering to a LS block hahah, yea a LS short block with a few extra bucks to build ls vtec would be like day and night compared to that R... + turbo hahaha
Naa dont turbo Ls/vtec unless ur going to sleeve it. Poor mans type R's are do-able. I have a buddy with one. Gsr bottom end, ctr pistons, B16a head, B16 exhaust valves and springs on intake to make them dual, with stage one skunks. The car wipes out WRX's.
I am in IL too, just noticed that man! Haha where at? I am from elgin, if you want we could meet up even and u can see some of my bros cars...they will make you want to go N/A man.
