Default Running Rebuilt D16z6 with Vitaras on virgin P28 for engine break-in? Okay? Not Okay?

I just recently ordered my vitaras and they should be coming in shortly, anyhow I was wondering if I should be just fine breaking the engine in with a virgin P28 ecu(stock basemap) with no tuning? The stock compression is somewhere around 9:1. The vitaras will drop it to 8.5:1. Everything will remain stock, except the internals, and when broken in I will go ahead and bolt a snail to it and then tune it. My question is, will I be fine? Or should I just get it tuned straight after? Thanks any help will be appreciated.
