we put a obd1 LS swap into my friends 96 (obd2) cx hatch. we did the iacv fix and the crank fluc. sensor fix, we stayed obd2 , using a 97 LS ecu... the car starts up fine and all but when u give it gas it really bogs and pops. sound like timing is off but its not.. cam timing is exact and so is ignition timing. we have replaced every single thing including a new LS motor and ecu and it still does the same thing... but he is using a TB off either a obd1 or obd0 LS . will that makeit do this or is it something else? we tried everything so far.. new dizzy and injectors too.

 

Well by TB I assume you mean throttle body. I'm not completely sure but I thought odb2 has to have a MAP sensor and that odb0 didn't have one. If that is so then that's where your problem is cause the computer wouldn't be able to read the air and fuel mixture.

 

ya i know that. but we can use external map.. but his TB does have a map on it so im not sure if its 0bd1 or 0 but i didnt know if 0bd2 has its own values for sensors..i dont know what else to check.

 

i am using the map sensor from my 99 b16 head in my ef...i think they are all the same....as is the tps...
