Default possible bent valve?

I went to the track a couple weeks back and the car ran find didn't misshift/over rev at all. Three days later I was comming home from work and started to hear a tick noise. Came home and thought nothing of it woke up next day I didn't hear anything. Now its back and its ticking pretty loud and only ticks at around 3k rpm. I just adjusted the valves and three off them on the intake side were a bit off. Also checked for compression and they read find nothing looked wrong. Can anyone give me some symptons of a bent valve? I need to do a leak down test but dont have one does autozone rent them out?

well its my understanding that if your spark plugs were indeed going bad, youd be lacking compression. But, I could be wrong.

Does it drop revs, stall, bog, anything? Just a tick? I mistook my rod knock/prefiring for a tick too. 2 Day later, bam boom rod gone

as long as the plugs are there, you will have compression. unless one is pretty loose.

edit: unless the gaskets are bad or dryrotting or something. not common unless the car has been sitting a long time. occasionally the housing can crack too.

Try doing a valve adjustment, cause they're most likely out of sink....
