Starter troubles?
Alright I got a D16Z6 with a D16Y8 tranny.
I used a Z6 flywheel and a Y8 starter.
When I try and turn the car over the starter wines and wont turn over the flywheel but when I pull the starter out of the tranny the gear will engage like it should? but it wont when its in the tranny?
Is the starter just weak and I need a new one?
And yes the motor is good and can easily turn over so its not siezed.

No with the flywheel inspection cover removed you can see it not moving but you can obviously hear its not.
