99 rl brakes
Hey so i have herd about puting the 99 acura rl rotors, calipers and brackets on a civic/teg, anyone done this or know anything more about it? The reason i ask is becuase OEM parts are a lot better than aftermarket, so its nice thta you can use honda parts, and also i cant afford a spoon/willwood/AEM big breke kit
Are the mounting brackets the same size as your stock ones?
I mean with the ITR/Lude calipers/rotors it's just a matter of bolting them up and drilling the rotor to the new lug pattern... then you need to remove so material from the spindle or caliper mounting bracket to properly alight the caliper so the rotor is centered in it.
Then you may or may not need to space your wheels to clear the larger calipers... THEN you MAY need to get extended wheel studs...
It'd be the same process for ANY caliper set up... only getting it to bolt up to the spindle will most of the time require a custom mounting bracket... which most of us wouldn't have access to equip. required to make.
